چکیده

The present paper proposes and studies an algorithm to estimate channels with a sparse common support (SCS). It is a generalization of the classical sampling of signals with Finite Rate of Innovation (FRI) [1] and thus called SCS-FRI. It is applicable to OFDM and WalshHadamard coded (CDMA downlink) communications since SCS-FRI is shown to work not only on contiguous DFT pilots but also uniformly scattered ones. The support estimation performances compare favorably to theoretical lower-bounds, and importantly this translates into a substantial equalization gain at the receiver compared to the widely used spectrum lowpass interpolation method. Keywords— Channel estimation, MIMO, OFDM, CDMA, Finite Rate of Innovation

Compensation Estimation Method for Fast Fading MIMO-OFDM Channels Based on Compressed Sensing

Manuscript received February 25, 2015; revised July 18, 2015. Corresponding author email: [email protected]. doi:10.12720/jcm.10.7.466-473 to time-variant multipath channels in orthogonal OFDM leads to inter-carrier interference (ICI) which increases the error of system [4]-[5]. Therefore, the channel time variation during a symbol block must be considered to support high-speed mobile channels. M...

On sparse sensing and sparse sampling of coded signals at sub-Landau rates

Advances of information-theoretic understanding of sparse sampling of continuous uncoded signals at sampling rates exceeding the Landau rate were reported in recent works. This work examines sparse sampling of coded signals at sub-Landau sampling rates. It is shown that with coded signals the Landau condition may be relaxed and the sampling rate required for signal reconstruction and for suppor...

Distributed Compressed Sensing for Sensor Networks Using Thresholding

Distributed compressed sensing is the extension of compressed sampling (CS) to sensor networks. The idea is to design a CS joint decoding scheme at a central decoder (base station) that exploits the inter-sensor correlations, in order to recover the whole observations from very few number of random measurements per node. In this paper, we focus on modeling the correlations and on the design and...

Broadband Cooperative Spectrum Sensing Based on Distributed Modulated Wideband Converter

The modulated wideband converter (MWC) is a kind of sub-Nyquist sampling system which is developed from compressed sensing theory. It accomplishes highly accurate broadband sparse signal recovery by multichannel sub-Nyquist sampling sequences. However, when the number of sparse sub-bands becomes large, the amount of sampling channels increases proportionally. Besides, it is very hard to adjust ...

Sparse Channel Estimation for Massive MIMO System Based on Dirichlet Process and Combined Message Passing

This paper investigate the problem of estimating sparse channels in massive MIMO systems. Most wireless channel are sparse with large delay spread, while some channels can be observed have common support within a certain area of the antenna array. This common support property is attractive when it comes to the estimation of large number of channels in massive MIMO systems. In this paper, we pro...
